Great product
I've heard speakers worth 20 times these and they didn't sound even twice as good. The bass, the dynamics and resolution from this size of a speaker is extremely uncanny. They're not bigger than a coconut and can move air similar to full sized floor stander. (maybe even more).

Perfect product!
Just Excellent for the price. Build quality is top notch and the sound surprisingly big for their size. They are effortlessly enjoyable. Note that these are inefficient and really scale up with good amplifiers.

A:They are indeed a pair of passive bookshelf speakers with a 2 way crossover which need amplification.It will do well on both old school stereo amplifiers as well as well modern day AV receivers

Q:How do these compare against the likes of Edifier 1700 BT or 1280 DBs?
A:Almost similar sound. but with some extra powerful bass. Specially designed for bass and a good pair of crossovers that will filter everything. so you will need a powerful Amplifier.
