  • Description

The Time Traveller’s Wife is a science fiction romance story by Audrey Niffenegger.

    Summary of the Book

Henry has a strange genetic disorder. For as long as he can remember, he has been able to jump forward and back in time. He always doesn’t cross more than a few decades, and the jump has been involuntary. It could last hours, or it could end in minutes. The time jumps have changed his life, and the lives of the people around him. Through his jumps, Henry has been in odd situations, learning to pick locks, and to steal. He has to learn how to fight too, because he always arrives naked, and sometimes he needs to take the things he needs to survive by force. It is all worth it when he meets a girl in his own timeline at the Newberry Library. She is Clare Anne Abshire, and she tells Henry that even though he has never met her himself, she has known him almost all her life. In fact, Henry will one day jump back into the past, and meet Clare as a six year old. He meets her in the woods near her home in South Haven, Michigan, and begins meeting her again and again throughout her life. Clare realizes that throughout her life, she’s always going to be waiting for Henry, and that they are truly and completely in love. Henry realizes that he too has strong feelings for Clare, and thus they begin a lifelong relationship that will define Henry’s own perception of his ability. This book is a love story truly like no other.

    Beautifully Narrated

What shall i say about this book and I have no words to express it. Its a great pleasure to read this book and its narrated in a such a way that gives u a feeling that you want to time travel. Its not like the normal love story and you feel compelled to read again for its beautiful narration. If you want to read a good romantic fantasy novel pls go for it. It will definitely leave a mark on your heart.

Its a good book to read, very nicely narrated without any complications and confusion of characters, very nicely written, it's different love story than usual ones. It's that reckless novel which seems utterly convincing. I recommend this book as Good to read.

    Captivating.

I've recently started reading this book, and I've been very locked up in this book. The chapters are easy and very smooth. You will almost want to have a similar story like their's. Also, the dates and the particular situation of that period are systematized. Nice read, I would definitely suggest it to others.

It is really an extraordinary novel... I loved it.... My favorite : Maybe I'm dreaming you. Maybe you're dreaming me; maybe we only exist in each other's dreams and every morning when we wake up we forget all about each other...

    Nothing less than a masterpeice..

I have just completed this book.I have never written any reviews before, but i am somehow compelled to do so..I am so moved and affected that i want to vent it all out somehow.I already feel as if this book will have a lot of bearing as to who i will be from now on...Its beautifully written, the whole idea seems distant in the beginning but the writer includes so much detail that it all seems perfectly true. The story is extremely gripping and intense. The experience has left me somewhat shaken ...

    Soulfull...

I usually write more than the specified 200 words in my reviews, but tonight I am sort of robbed of my ability to string my feelings into meaningful words.
This book has left me with a feeling of loneliness, more than any other unhappily ended love story has ever done.
It started off quite pleasantly but by the time I reached the end I was full of wistfulness for Henry and Claire(more for Claire as she is the one who has to do all the waiting, albeit Henry often walks into serious trouble and...

Q:Is the language easy enough to read?!
A:Yes!! The book is easy to read. But its not sequential. Since, the story revolves around a time traveller therefore events take place in unordered years.
